The strategy is informed by two interventions
1. Promoting Gender Responsiveness among District Local Governments

This is crucial for advancing gender equality and addressing the specific needs and priorities of women and girls in the local context. Key focus is to enhance capacities of district technical and political teams to have in place and implement engendered district development plans and budgets; District local governments will be supported to establish mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of gender-responsive approaches. This will involve setting indicators, collecting data, and conducting regular assessments to measure progress, identify gaps, and make necessary adjustments.

2. Inspiring key government social and justice institutions

Inspiring key government social and justice institutions to work with civil society through establishment of functional GBV/Sexual Reproductive Health District Referral Networks/Referrals to provide survivor centered services for IPV survivors.
